Thankful for my Gracie!

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

Since it is still NOVEMBER–I need to keep saying why I am thankful.

I am thankful for my little daughter Gracie- She is the cutest little thing, but more than a handful. She came out of me screaming and has yet to stop! Her voice is the LOUDEST voice I have ever heard, she would seriously be a great OPERA singer, lol!

She was due to be born on Christmas Day, so she has always has a special bond with Santa! She LOVES HIM!! The doctor who delivered her was retiring from delivering babies at the end of the year she was born (2001)…and he did not want to work on Christmas, nor did I want to spend the Holiday in the hospital. So we agreed to induce her on the 14th (my half b-day)…she didn’t need much inducing! I had her before my epidural was fully in effect, so that delivery was rather painful, but way easier to recover from than my first.

Gracie is a little worker bee, very independant, very strong (like a little bull), loves make up, watching Zach and Cody, eating almost anything and LOVES playing MOM to her little sisters. She has also recently mastered doing head stands so she spends a lot of time on her head. And her middle name is the same as mine  … Here are some pics of her:

Well in other news…I had a GREAT workout today, mucho better than yesterdays.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Hi all!!
I am very thankful today for all the work I have put into my body over the past 3 plus years- 3 years ago was when I really was first starting to shoot to BUILD Muscle mass–and it has forever changed my body. Now I can have a free day, or even a free week and not hardly even notice. My muscle mass is so good at burning calories that when I eat a lot extra or lay off on my workouts, nothing much changes. Of course it would if I took a MONTH off, lol. I am thankful for MUSCLE!!

So, that said, I have had a few days off. After being sick at the end of last week, I decided that workouts would be optional this week. My body was due for a rest, plus with everything else going on this week–it was perfect timing for a slight break.

I think we will hit the gym this morning though–but, that’s still not 100%, lol! It is actually nice to have that freedom–

I do plan on hitting it hard starting next week. I plan to take pics, measurements and my bodyfat, then test again in 4 weeks. That should be right in time for Christmas!! I am excited for that!

Well if I workout today, I’ll check back in!

Happy Thanksgiving,
Michelle

BuffMother J’nea ROCKS!!

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

I am so proud and excited for one of my dearest friends from my BuffMother Rally Room, J’nea!! She was chosen to be featured as a “Transformation of the week on Bodybuilding.com”. She is like me in a lot of ways, she is my height, has 4 kids, loves to lift weights, loves to blog, etc…BUT there is one HUGE difference—she not only has one set of twins but TWO sets!!! I don’t think I could handle that~~ She is proof that you have to take a “no excuses” attitude towards getting your workouts done. I am inspired by her every day!!

Well here is the direct link to her transformation

And her is a link to her personal blog…make sure to leave a comment telling her CONGRATS!!

She Rocks!!

I am thankful for my son–GUNNER!!

Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

I am thankful for my son Gunner

I am so thankful for him…He was not a planned baby, but that was OKAY, because if I didn’t have kids by accident, I wouldn’t have any, lol.

When I got preggers with him I was only 23 and lived in Dallas, TX…I was working as a New Home Sales Consultant for US HOME …my boss was really cool, but HARDCORE…she was the first really successful business woman I ever knew and opened up a whole new side of me.

Gunner was born in July of 99 in Carrollton, TX and 6 weeks later we moved to MN, eeeek! then a few months later we moved to ND and then we moved to AR when he was about 18 months old…so, he moved a lot when he was a baby!

Gunner is really cool, very mature and a very good athlete–He loves the UFC, football and playing with his friends. He is also left handed. I force fed the child to eat until he was about 4, because I wanted a BIG BOY!! He is big for his age (height wise) and I hope will continue in that.

I love him to pieces and am so thankful for the perfect little boy God gave me!

ON to my workout for today–I tried to run 400’s today, but we had a slight problem:

I tried to run at the track…before gymnastics–we just ran out of time…after gymnastics, I thought was gonna work, but I was so sore that the thought of running hard scared me…and I figured I need to wait at least another day to do 400’s…AND, My dearest little Layla sealed the coffin on that decision by pooping in her pants!!!! What a mess in a unitard for gymnastics—luckily I had about 4 wet wipes left in the van and pants for her to wear home.

So…now I got in my workout in at home–nothing much, but 30 min of steady cardio on the u-bike at home…no gym today–I’ll hit it tomorrow.

Off to feed the HUBBY~

First Real workout of the week —10 100’s

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

First off I am thankful for my GOD!! This month as I have been saying that I am thankful, I am really saying, I am thankful to Jesus Christ for EVERYTHING. I am a Christian and believe that Jesus Christ gave his life as a sacrifice for my sins so that I can go to HEAVEN. I am so thankful for that!!
If you are interested here is a link to My Christian Testimony

Now on to my workout…..Today is WEDNESDAY and I finally had my First Real workout this week!

It was at the TRACK 10 fast hard 100m dashes and I am feelin’ it already.

I brought all 4 of my kiddos with me. They were so good!! It was BEAUTIFUL outside and I really enjoyed the whole event!

Now you may be asking yourself WHY was this your first real workout??? Basically PMS! and a tish of some sort of flu…well I was exhausted on SUNDAY…so I took it off, which was fine and sorta planned, Monday…I felt horrible still I went to the gym and did an ity-bity chest tri workout 20 min version including warm up, lol–and then hit the tanning bed. Tuesday–NOTHING…stayed home all day!
So now I am planning to have a good rest of the week.

Love ya,
BuffMother!
