Lovin’ on the LEGS!

I feel like each and every one of my leg workouts is an act of LOVE toward them.  It is my way of letting them know that I want them to be their best, work correctly, stay firm and lean, stay young and shapely and stay SEXY!!!  Legs to me are the MOST important body part to work and to lift with.  They are are what separates the truly fit from the POSERS and what keeps my metabolism ROARING!! I am always starving after a great leg workout~

Here is how it went:
Warm up tanning and r-bike 7 mins

2 sets of 15 walking lunges  no weight…these are the first walking lunges I’ve done since my knee issues

That was it!!

After my workout I took the kids– my son Mostly- to check out the new MMA gym in our town.  It looks really nice, so Gunner is going to try out a couple classes next week.  Then it was time for supper, homework, and watching the WEC event and TUF!!  It was a good night!!

ANOTHER NICE day in the books!!
Now to make today nice– I’ve been a little naughty already– yelled at my kids this am when trying to get them motivated to get ready for school– I blame it on TIRED Thursdays~

8 eyes~

My day yesterday was good, and I was NICE…except for the fact that I ran out of TIME!  It took me 2 hours to vote which I didn’t plan on…and then I had to bring all 4 kids to the eye doctor for their first eyes exams ever– which took 3+ hours of my day~
So, no workout for me! BUT, I’ll make that up today with a super stellar one here in a bit!

The reason I took my kids into the eye doctor was because Tia, one of my 5 year old twins…didn’t pass her eye screening at school.  I figured that I may as well get eye exams for all 4 of my kids to be sure no one else was in danger of needing glasses. To my suprise it turned out that Tia’s eyes are perfect!  and so are GUnner’s– but my little Gracie and Layla both need glasses and some patch therapy. So, now I have 2 little “4 eyes”= 8 eyes!

Naughty or NICE? November

My theme for the month is have I been “Naughty or NICE” today?
I have to say I was pretty nice today…I spent quite some time doing several nice things for others today~
#1- My son wanted to bring his Football Championship medal to school today…he looked all over for it, but to no avail..I found it for him and then he lost it again prior to getting to school; He was VERY SAD! :(  When I pulled into the garage- I found it on the floor of the garage.  SO guess what I did?  the NICE thing: drove back to school and brought it to him :)
#2- I poured some quality time into several of my friends lives…that’s always nice!
#3- I read several books to my DD’s
#4- I was nice to myself and got in my workout late– I got started at about 9:15 tonight.

So…today I was nice, so SANTA can put me on his good girl list- whoohoo!!

Here is a quick run down of my workout:
Warm up- r-bike 11mins!! this is my first real warm up in about 8 weeks!! YAY!

Lower back extensions paired with assisted pull ups - 3 sets
Lat pulls paired with bicep curls- 3 sets
Leg extensions paired with bicep curls - 2 sets
Shoulder press paired with knee ups on roman chair- 3 sets
Seated rows paired with situps/oblique twist at end- 2 sets

That was it!
Now I am off to bed~

Happy Thursday to ya’ll!! I have had a very productive day once again~ got lots of bills and paper work done, plus I caught up with my BuffMother! TEAM members!!  It seems, You all are having a GREAT week too!!!

Yesterday I got in a really good back, sh, bicep workout~ my pipes are looking pretty shapely these days, lol!  I also finished up a couple leg exercises that I missed the night before– Then this morning first thing I got my 2nd synvisc shot in my knee.  My doctor is really nice and he shared his recent weight loss success story with me!  I love hearing success stories~ it fires me up to keep helping others get theirs!  Anyhoo….since I got my shot I really couldn’t get a workout in today~

Tomorrow, we are heading out on a day trip to Tulsa and the ZOO!!  the kids are very excited and so am I!!! I LOVE the Zoo!
when I was a kid,  in Aurora, CO, my Mom would be sure to bring us to the Zoo, the Amusement park and the Museum at least once during the summer…so I have a ton of fun zoo memories.  I want my kids to have some of those same type of fun memories.I do hope to do a small chest workout something tomorrow am before we head out to Tusla…and I’m sure we’ll walk a lot tomorrow.

In other thoughts and news….I been thinking and reading a lot of the posts about being sexy.  I really enjoyed both Julie’s and Crystals posts~ they are both very sexy and confident women!  I love learning more about feeling sexy and being confident…it’s amazing how often times just that little extra effort can make a HUGE impact in our lives.

I read an interesting article about nanotechnology ~ interesting stuff!  It is amazing how advanced science is becoming and how new technology can be good and bad.  The article’s main focus was about that fact that some nano-tech items could be very dangerous to our health because they are so small that they can pass cell membranes and cross the blood/brain barrier.  Definitely something to be aware of until testing has been done~ here is a website about NANOTECHNOLOGY

I am loving that today is a new day, that it’s Monday and that I have a bit of Mojo to grab!
I struggled the past 2 days with “something”…it could have been the flu, bad PMS or simply HIF…but it led to an utterly unproductive and HIGHLY restful day yesterday…I HATED IT, lol!  It almost kills me to stay in bed all day~ so even though I like the results from rest, I still hate resting.
BTW- today is c-day 28 and I weighed 128 today–lots of CARBS over the weekend

Soooo…I’ve been GOING strong today~ determined to get some great MOJO going this week and to feel SEXY again!
I started my day by getting some work done then headed out to the gym…Here is my workout:

I desire to be DESIRABLE= I wanna be SEXY!!!

First and foremost I believe that God created every woman with the ability to be sexy~ He made us with a deep desire to be DESIRABLE!

I wanna be Sexy for my DH…I want him to look at me and be PROUD!

I also wanna be sexy for myself– sexy to me is about confidence and self-esteem.  When I feel sexy…there is NOTHING stopping me!  Sexy to me is not about showing skin or being overtly sexual…it is about being secure in knowing I’ve prepared for life’s situations by taking care of myself both physically, emotionally and mentally.  Being sexy is about being confident that I am bringing my BEST to every situation in life.

Confidence= Sexy
Body awareness= Sexy
Social Intelligence= Sexy
Keeping life fun= Sexy

I am so exited to spend the next six weeks digging into my SEXY SIDE!!

Today- I lifted legs then this afternoon went to the doctor for my MRI follow up…it seems I have a small cyst in my knee, but not much degeneration showing– so he gave me the first of 3 shoots of a synvisc treatment to see if that helps minimize my knee pain.  I am excited to see how it affects it!!!

Well, I am off to watch some “Las Vegas” that we DVR’d…

Gramma’s here!!

Well…today Gramma got here to Arkansas!  the kids are so happy and so am I because they are out of school on fall intersession– today was day 4 of 16 and I can use all the help with them that I can get.  Gramma will be helping both Heidi and I out over the next couple weeks…she is a GOD send!

Besides being busy with her arrival, I managed to get a ton of work done this morning and get a STRONG chest workout done–I benched 125×5 for a couple of the sets and my incline press was up to 130 for a couple sets of six also– my incline flys were done with 40’s today.  C-day 23= HULK in the weight room :)

Well, I gotta go for now– I’ll see you more tomorrow my sexy friends :)
